For example, approximately 300 to 400 pounds of the average automobile's weight consist of plastic parts or components. Auto interiors alone include approximately 20 families of plastic resins.
And about 85 percent of the furniture manufactured worldwide uses flexible urethane foam cushioning, a major application for Lyondell's propylene oxide.
